Job Title: Installation Technician
Reports To: President
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: The Installation Technician is responsible for performing work involving the skills of two or more maintenance and craft occupations to install gate and access controls.

​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•     Completes major service repairs.
•     Straightens, welds, and restores gates as needed.
•     Maintains inventory on Company installation trucks and trailers.
•     Sets up the infrastructure for access controls and gates.
•     Utilize lasers, strings and level to establish grade and elevation during installs.
•     Performs rough carpentry to make concrete forms.
•     Pours and finishes concrete as needed for gate and gooseneck foundations.
•     Install small sections of fencing of various types around the gate
•     Mounts and installs equipment, circuit boards, and gates.
•     Pull low voltage wiring to access controls, video cameras and gate.
•     Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments.
•     Utilizes Bobcat to install underground and set gates.
•     Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
•     High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to five year related experience 
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•     Valid driver’s license required, CDL a plus but not required.

While  performing  the  duties  of  this  job,  the  employee  is  frequently  required  to  stand  
and  walk.  This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, 
stooping, crouching, crawling, and  climbing  all  day.  The  employee  must  be  able  to  lift,  
push,  pull,  and/or  move  up  to  50  pounds individually or up to 100 pounds with a team. 
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, 
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to power tools and may need personal  protective  equipment.  The  employee  may  be  exposed  to  hot  or  cold  
temperatures,  and weather elements.
 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
